How it connects / 01

One workflow.
Pluggable tools.

From the catalog, with you in control. Review your metadata and choose when to publish.

  1. 01 / Plan

    Decide where it goes

Mark photos for stock or exclusive art and pick a license type for each agency. They become Candidates.

  2. 02 / Describe

    Describe it well

Draft titles, captions, and keywords with AI, then review every suggestion. The license type picks commercial or editorial wording.

  3. 03 / Publish

    Send it to agencies

Candidates wait in each agency's publish service, including Lightroom's own Adobe Stock service. You decide when to click Publish.

  4. 04 / Track

    Know where it stands

Published photos are marked Submitted. Record Accepted or Rejected once the agency has reviewed them.

And for your own albums: photos you mark Album can go into personal OneDrive albums.

Pluggable by design. Every plug-in works on its own: use one, some, or all. Together they share your catalog, so a decision you make once carries through to the next step.

Alamy and Dreamstime Publisher 1.0 send the original JPEG unchanged, so save metadata and Develop edits to a finished JPEG before publishing. Version 1.1, coming soon, renders the JPEG from any original with your edits.

A few good
questions.

Privacy & data handling
Which Lightroom do I need?

Use Adobe Lightroom Classic rather than cloud Lightroom or Lightroom mobile. Each plug-in installs independently from Adobe Exchange with the Creative Cloud desktop app and then appears in File > Plug-in Manager. Follow its setup guide and try the workflow with one photo on your Lightroom and operating-system version before processing a larger collection.

What other costs should I consider?

AI Photo Tagging uses your own Microsoft Foundry resource and API key, so Microsoft charges you for cloud usage. Lightroom and agency account requirements are separate. Expolumi OneDrive Album (Preview) is free, with no purchase required; Lightroom and OneDrive account and storage requirements remain separate. The preview is distinct from any future commercial listing and promises neither commercial availability nor an upgrade entitlement.

What leaves my computer?

The FTP tools send your JPEGs and embedded metadata directly to the chosen agency. Expolumi Getty Publisher only copies JPEGs to your Dropbox folder; Dropbox syncs them and you upload them in Getty ESP. Expolumi Shutterstock Publisher sends your login and JPEGs directly to Shutterstock over encrypted SFTP. AI Photo Tagging sends a reduced preview, your optional photographer tip, and the capture time if enabled to your configured Foundry resource. Expolumi OneDrive Album (Preview) sends paths, file identifiers, album names, and membership requests to Microsoft over HTTPS, not photo bytes. Expolumi Publishing Workflow sends nothing; its fields stay in your catalog. Read the privacy guide before using personal or client photos.

Is FTP encrypted?

No. The Alamy and Dreamstime publishing plug-ins use plain FTP. Credentials and photos travel unencrypted, even though credentials are stored locally through Lightroom's encrypted storage. If encrypted transfer is required, use the agency's HTTPS web uploader instead. Expolumi Shutterstock Publisher uses SFTP, which is encrypted.

Does Published mean accepted by the agency?

No. It means a transfer completed. You must check ingestion, complete submission details, and follow quality-control or review status on the agency website. The plug-ins do not synchronize acceptance status; Expolumi Publishing Workflow lets you record it for each agency.
